2016 Bentley Bentayga price, interior and specs is some of many topics which we mention here. Bentley thought about making an SUV for quite some time and in order to show that they want to do it, they released back in 2012 a concept car called the EXP 9 F, an experimental vehicle which was actually very successful despite the fact it has not been released to the public. In order to boost their sales and also allow their customers to buy a Bentley built SUV, they are going to release the Bentley Bentayga 2016 in the near future.
While the name has nothing to do with the 2012 concept SUV, it will actually borrow a lot of the design of that car as well as a lot of interior elements. However, the platform is going to be shared with the Audi Q7 or the Porsche Cayenne, so it will be the same MLB Evo that uses a lot of lightweight materials such as aluminum and composites in order to keep the weight as low as possible.
Engine of 2016 Bentley Bentayga
Engine wise, the 2016 Bentley Bentayga will make use of a few powertrains from the other Bentley cars as well as an all new one. The base model will make use of the 6 liter W12 twin-turbo from the Continental GT Speed but it will very likely be tuned to more than 650 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. In fact, the Bentayga is expected to be the fastest production SUV in the World with an expected top speed of more than 200 MPH which is more than the upcoming Lamborghini SUV, a car which will use the same platform.
A 4.2 liter V8 twin-turbo diesel will also be offered in certain market while a hybrid will most likely make its way on the US market. The details about this are unclear for now but it may be a Porsche derived system with a more powerful petrol engine in order to allow the SUV to keep a relatively high top speed. All wheel drive is going to be standard on all models and so it is going to be the 8 speed automatic which also saw use on the Continental.
Exterior and Interior of 2016 Bentley Bentayga
The exterior of the Bentley Bentayga 2016 is very likely going to make use of a lot of design cues from the EXP 9 F concept car, so expect a very similar front end to that car. However, the back of the production vehicle will be longer as well as it will get different tail lights than the concept car. The car will likely sit on 20 inch wheels wrapped in specifically designed high performance tires while a possible upgrade could be 22 inch rims. An active suspension system might be offered as standard in order to lower or get the car higher, depending on the road conditions or speed.
Inside the cabin of the Bentayga there are not going to be that many changes over the Continental GT or the Flying Spur. In fact, it will very likely offer the same dashboard as the other two but with a lot more room to spare. A 5 seats version is going to be standard but some markets will also get the 4 seats version which will offer in the back individual captain’s chairs with multiple levels of adjusting them. This version will offer less trunk space due to the larger rear seats.

The price, while undisclosed at this point, should be near that of the Continental GT, so expect the Bentayga to start at more than $250,000 while the high performance versions will likely go well over that.
